ComponentsA. Strategy (Causes) The Admiral Center assists its members in addressing their community goals to establish and/or refine their philanthropic cause. Based on each member’s level of financial and time commitment, we work with existing staff members and consultants to create and/or strengthen a comprehensive plan to meet their goals over a three year period or longer. With a focus on urban communities in cities across America, our areas of emphasis include:
B. Implementation (Programs) For members who have existing programs that serve the causes they care about, we will help assess the efficiency and impact of those programs and provide assistance towards growing their impact and expanding their reach. Operational analysis, growth strategy, scalability, and the leveraging of partnered resources are all key components to building and enhancing the effectiveness and long-term viability of the program. If new program components are required to achieve the cause objectives, we will assist in their development help evaluate potential program partners to assist in their implementation and execution. For members who are starting their philanthropy for the first time, we help them identify/develop solid programs that make a real difference. As these programs are implemented, we will track their success and provide quality control and assessment at key stages of their development A full report is provided and members decide which program options and partners they want to work with. Services include:
Working to support an existing management structure or helping establish a new one with partnering organizations, we will provide key assistance in the primary areas of need, ensuring the integrity of the philanthropic program, and helping maximize the impact of each dollar being spent. C. Messaging (Marketing & Publicity) Member programs will receive marketing and publicity support to promote the member’s cause and philanthropic mission. Together with existing team members, we will help develop a marketing plan to ensure maximum awareness and media coverage. The Admiral Center will also provide access to its media relations firm to publicize program milestones, representing an additional cost savings to our members. D. Sustainability (Fundraising Support) Our experience has shown the importance of establishing a long-term plan for sustainability into any philanthropic initiative. In addition to the financial contributions that our members make towards their program, the Admiral Center provides best practices on cultivating the member’s fan base and potential corporate sponsors to generate additional streams of funding for the cause. Our unique partnerships provide access to the best information and strategies available for building and sustaining philanthropic initiatives, and this knowledge is passed on to our members. Additionally, each year the Admiral Center will hold a fundraiser for all of its members and their causes. Each of Living Cities’ partners and the larger philanthropic community will be invited to attend this high profile affair and support the community work being done by our members. Substantial efficiencies are created by this joint fundraiser, which can bolster existing fundraising events or potentially eliminate the need for members to produce their own. With production costs to be absorbed by the Admiral Center, we will maximize the amount of net proceeds that can be raised for each member’s cause. |
